Blue Hope Walk

Join us for the inaugural Blue Hope Walk, a fun, family-friendly community event happening during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Hosted by WRBO as part of a larger cluster event, this walk is all about raising awareness, showing support, and starting important conversations.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men, and awareness can save lives. That’s why we’re saying: MidSouth, it’s time to man up.

Walk in honor of someone you love, in memory of someone special, or simply because you want to support prostate cancer awareness. Enjoy health-related vendors and exhibitors, food trucks, live music, and a fun, laidback atmosphere for the whole community.

About 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

Getting regular physical activity can make a meaningful difference. Walking for just one to three hours per week has been linked to up to an 86% lower risk of being diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.

Engaging in three or more hours of vigorous exercise each week may also reduce the risk of dying from prostate cancer by as much as 61%.
